The Team

Aaron Holbrook, Founder – Lead Web Developer
Aaron is a Chicago WordPress web developer/designer, gamer and father. He builds amazing WordPress themes and applications with his company A7 Web Design and has been working with WordPress since 2004.
With clients across the globe, he has had the opportunity to work on many different types of WordPress sites and has discovered his passion for challenging the boundaries of typical WordPress development with custom functionality.
When Aaron’s not coding, he’s probably on the floor playing cars with his two boys or taking a walk with his wife.

Heather Acton, Producer & Strategist
Heather is a mechanical engineer turned web strategist. Her 10 years of project management experience with a Fortune 50 company shaped her skills in problem solving, strategizing, leading a team, and delivering real business results.
Since leaving the field of engineering, Heather has led teams at corporations, small businesses, and nonprofits alike to utilize their web properties to meet their goals including community involvement, sales, generating leads, and more. In her spare time, Heather enjoys playing legos with her kids, sipping good craft beer, and singing along at a Dave Matthews Band concert.

Michelle Schulp, Creative Director
Though Michelle might be what you’d consider “a creative” (the hair doesn’t give it away?), Michelle has always been more fascinated by the “left-brained” problem solving aspect of design. In addition to Visual Communications, Michelle studied Psychology and Sociology in order to better understand how people interact with the world and with each other. This knowledge has given her a deeper understanding of why design principles work, and how to use them to best fit different circumstances. She is especially fascinated by Usability and User Experience, as the way the user engages with a design is just as important, if not more so, than its aesthetic appearance.

Chris Schulp, Director of Cinematography
In Chris’s 15 years working in videography and production he’s been on jobs ranging from single camera/single operator shoots, to 6 camera live sports broadcasts, to rock concerts and everything in between. Chris has shot sit-down news interviews, town hall webcasts, corporate events, live news and studio shoots, football, basketball… the list goes on and on! He’s always had a fascination with capturing life in motion, and was just as enthralled with the technology that allowed it to happen. It’s one thing to turn on your camera and shoot video, but it’s an entirely different thing to be able to achieve the full potential of your equipment to expertly craft the look and feel of the finished product.
